Georgia has long been a collision of cultures, as it borders Russia and Turkey, Armenia and Azerbaijan, and is fairly close neighbors with Iran. The Arabs, Russians, and Ottomans have all passed through this Silk Road crossroad and have left their mark and influence throughout the years. Geographically, Georgia’s an evocative spot, with the Caucasus Mountains to the north and the Black Sea to the west.

Lagodekhi National Park In Georgia Is Nature At Its Finest!

There are 14 State Reserve in Georgia, one of the most beutifull is Lagodekhi National Park. Read the blog post about this unique place written by Richard Collett. Nestled quietly in the east of the Georgia, with the border of Azerbaijan on one side and the border with Russia in the north I stumbled unwittingly across the green and mossy forests of the Lagodekhi National Park. I was just planning on passing through the small, unassuming border town of Lagodekhi itself before crossing quickly into Azerbaijan and moving onto Sheki and Baku.
